Hi!
I am Michael from Germany. I am studying Spanish and work as a freelance engineer. I am a passionate traveler. I love backpacking and adventure holidays. As I speak Spanish I like travelling in Spanish speaking countries and travelling off the beaten tracks. I have not been everywhere in the world, but the day might come when I will have finished my list. I would like to share my experiences to other travelers and maybe help them with useful tips and advices.
In 2016 quit my job in order to travel the world and founded the Pura Vida Expedition Blog. Here I am blogging about traveling, adventure, backpacking and other random stuff that comes to my mind. The Spanish term Pura Vida is used in Costa Rican Spanish. The expression has different meanings e.g. “pure life”, “take it easy”, “enjoy life”, “all good”, “purity in life”, “hello”, “goodbye”, “this is life!” When I was in Costa Rica I liked the way of life there and how the people think about life and happiness. Like one of my favorite brand’s (Life is Good®) slogan “do what you like, like what you do.” I am doing what I like and like what I do – TRAVELING. Being on an expedition I try to make new experiences and discover the world. Thus I called the blog Pura Vida Expedition. Writing in English 🇬🇧, German 🇩🇪 or maybe both depending on the topic. My first stop is South America and Chile. Why Chile? Well… you can read about it soon on the blog if you stay tuned. I have been to South America several times and I loved it. Here in Chile I started taking language classes to obtain a language certificate. Besides this I work on little engineering projects as freelancer. Where to go next? So far, I do not know…
